Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Surgery (Scrub/Circulate) at Cambridge Tower A in Kansas City. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred.
• For ADN-hired nurses after Feb 24, 2017, must complete BSN within five years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care through assessment and accurate documentation, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Carries out a plan of care specific to unit competencies for the target patient population.
• Coordinates care delivery and education through collaboration with patient, family and health care team providers.
• Follows organizational policies in providing safe patient care.
• Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
