Job summary

Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Surgical department on a full-time night shift. You will implement and monitor patient care plans, coordinate multi-disciplinary care, and execute physician and nursing orders.

Discharge planning will be coordinated with the healthcare team to ensure smooth transitions and quality outcomes. Required licensure as an RN in Oklahoma and a nursing diploma from an accredited program; BLS certification within 1 month

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
