Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the General Surgery unit. This 32-bed unit provides care across bariatric, urology, vascular, and other surgical services with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

The role requires GA RN licensure, ADN or Diploma, and at least 1 year of RN experience. BSN is preferred and a commitment to evidence-based practice and patient education is essential. Collaborative rounds and patient-centered care are core expectations.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.
• Associate's Degree, ADN or Diploma required.
• At least 1 year of RN experience.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an engaged partner on the care team and respond to care team needs for assistance.
• Leads interdisciplinary rounds to facilitate appropriate care and smooth transitions.
• Adapts to change and maintains respectful communication with patients and colleagues.
• Applies the nursing process to meet clinical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
• Supports evidence-based practice and life-long learning.
