Job summary

St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, Idaho is seeking a Registered Nurse - Surgery (RN-Surgery) to provide direct perioperative nursing care in an acute care hospital.

The RN-Surgery will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safety and optimal outcomes. Qualifications include BSN preferred, current RN license in Idaho, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and 1 year of nursing experience with perioperative or surgical services

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required per facility policy.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical/nursing experience; perioperative or surgical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient-centered nursing care based on standards and the nursing process.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed and per policy.
• Documents all aspects of patient care clearly and accurately.
• Monitors, evaluates, and communicates patient condition to team, patient, and family.
• Collaborates with surgical and interdisciplinary teams for optimal care.
• Facilitates patient transfer, discharge, and referrals as needed.
• Educates patients and families on procedures, recovery, and post-operative care.
• Advocates for patient well-being throughout the perioperative experience.
