A leading healthcare provider in Providence, RI seeks surgical physician assistants to join their inpatient surgical practice. Candidates will assist in OR, manage patient admissions and discharges, and perform various bedside procedures. The role involves a schedule of three 12-hour shifts, with the flexibility of 24-hour shifts. Those with OR assist experience are preferred. Teaching opportunities with medical students can also be part of this enriching role.

About the Opportunity

• Surgeries include general, bariatric, colorectal, vascular, thoracic; additional subspecialties may be added as we continue to grow our surgical service line.
• Hospital‑based role primarily at Kent Hospital and also at Women & Infants Hospital.
• OR assisting and inpatient management, admissions, discharges, consults, and daily rounding.
• OR assist experience is a plus.
• Bedside procedures include NG tube placement, wound vac changes, and I&D of abscesses.
• Schedule: Three 12‑hour shifts (6 a.m.‑6 p.m. and 6 p.m.‑6 a.m.) with possibility of one 12‑hour and one 24‑hour shift. Rotating and shared weekend and holiday shifts to provide 24/7 coverage.
