Job summary

Redeemer Health is seeking a Physician Assistant to serve as a physician extender and surgical assistant in the operative acute care setting, with collaboration to coordinate patient care. The PA will communicate with patients, physicians and the care team about changes in clinical condition and test results while adhering to system policies and PA licensure.

Qualified candidates hold PA licensure in Pennsylvania, are graduates of an accredited PA program, and maintain certification with CME

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years surgical assisting experience.
• Demonstrated competency in Clinical assessment.
• Maintains National Certification with 100 hours of CME credits every two years.
• Passes National Boards every six years.
• Obtains and maintains medical staff privileges for hospital based clinical services.

Responsibilities

• Functions as physician extender and surgical assistant in operative acute care.
• Collaborates with the practice physician and health-care team about changes in patient condition and testing results.
• Serves as liaison, educator, and patient advocate within policy and procedures and PA licensure.
