• BS Required

• NYS Physician’s Assistant Licensure Required
• Graduate of ARC-PA accredited PA Program Required
• NCCPA Certification Required
• BLS/ACLS American Heart Association
• Infection Control Certification
• OHS Fit Test
• OHS Annual Assessment

Responsibilities

• The practice of a Surgical physician assistant includes medical services delegated by the supervising physician.
• The PA conducts histories, exams, orders tests, and develops treatment plans.
• Assists at surgery and participates in wound care, education, and referrals as needed.
• Tasks may be performed in clinics, hospitals, ambulatory centers, patient homes, and other settings.
