Job summary

Dell Medical School seeks a board-certified Physician Assistant to expand cardiovascular and thoracic services for adults, in collaboration with supervising physicians. You will diagnose and treat, with prescriptive authority, in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include assisting in the cardiovascular OR, obtaining histories, ordering and interpreting studies, counseling patients and families, and documenting care per specialty standards. Team-based, multidisciplinary care is essential.

Qualifications

• A board-certified Physician Assistant in good standing with Prescriptive Authority by the Texas Medical Board.
• Minimum 1 year experience in cardiothoracic surgical first assisting with endoscopic and open conduit harvest.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance.
• Ability to address individuals and information with a high degree of sensitivity and confidentiality.
• Capacity to work well with physicians and other care providers as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Required Qualifications
