Responsibilities

• Receive, accession and label specimens with proper identification and paperwork.
• Assist with frozen sections using a cryostat and prepare specimens for processing.
• Assist with autopsies by ensuring supplies and proper documentation are ready.
• Support procedures such as fine needle aspirations and bone marrows per site protocols.
• Provide clerical support and triage calls to appropriate staff.
• Maintain staining protocols, filing systems, and retained tissue records.
