Job summary

MediPath LLC, expanding its three-pathologist team, seeks two additional board-certified or board-eligible, Florida-licensed subspecialty pathologists with expertise in Breast, Gynecologic, Genitourinary, or Dermatopathology to join our Florida practice.

The new hires will interpret surgical pathology and cytology, participate in multidisciplinary conferences, uphold quality standards, and contribute to a digital pathology initiative as MediPath moves to a new Miramar facility.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
• AP/CP board certification or eligibility.
• Florida medical license or eligibility for licensure.
• Fellowship training and/or significant experience in Breast, Gynecologic, Genitourinary, and/or Dermatopathology.
• Experience in genetic oncology and/or digital pathology is a plus.
• Strong foundation in Pathology, including surgical pathology and diagnostic interpretation skills.
• Clinical knowledge in Medicine with the ability to integrate pathological findings into patient care decisions.
• Proficiency in Laboratory Skills and Laboratory Medicine, including understanding of testing methodologies and quality control.
• Experience in Histology, including tissue processing, staining techniques, and slide evaluation.
• Board certification or eligibility in Anatomic Pathology (AP), Clinical Pathology (AP/CP), Cytopathology, or Dermatopathology.

Responsibilities

• Interpret surgical pathology specimens, cytology samples, and other tests to provide clear, clinically relevant diagnoses.
• Review histologic slides, sign out cases, and consult with referring physicians.
• Participate in tumor boards or multidisciplinary conferences.
• Oversee laboratory quality and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Contribute to protocol development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain thorough documentation and stay current with advances in pathology and laboratory medicine.

Job description

MediPath LLC is expanding its current three-pathologist team and is seeking two additional board-certified or board-eligible, Florida-licensed subspecialty pathologists with complementary expertise across Breast, Gynecologic, Genitourinary, and/or Dermatopathology.

To support TopLine MD Alliance's expanding network of 850+ physicians, including specialists in Women's Health, Dermatology, and Surgical Specialties, MediPath will relocate later this year to a state-of-the-art, 27,000-square-foot laboratory in Miramar, Florida.

The new facility is designed to support the continued expansion of MediPath's service lines, including:

• Genetic testing
• Clinical pathology
• Surgical/anatomic pathology
• Transition of anatomic pathology to a fully integrated digital pathology platform

Role Description

The pathologist will interpret surgical pathology specimens, cytology samples, and other laboratory tests to provide clear, clinically relevant diagnoses. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing histologic slides, signing out cases, consulting with referring physicians, and participating in tumor boards or multidisciplinary conferences when needed. The role includes overseeing laboratory quality, collaborating with laboratory staff to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, and contributing to protocol development and continuous improvement initiatives. The pathologist will also be expected to maintain thorough documentation, stay current with advances in pathology and laboratory medicine, and support a culture of patient-centered care.

• Fellowship training and/or significant experience in Breast, Gynecologic, Genitourinary, and/or Dermatopathology

• Clinical knowledge in Medicine with the ability to integrate pathological findings into patient care decisions.
• Proficiency in Laboratory Skills and Laboratory Medicine, including understanding of testing methodologies and quality control.
• Experience in Histology, including tissue processing, staining techniques, and slide evaluation.
• Board certification or eligibility in Anatomic Pathology (AP), Clinical Pathology (AP/CP), Cytopathology, or Dermatopathology.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of Florida.
• Excellent communication skills for consultations with clinicians and clear, concise report writing.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment and uphold high ethical and professional standards.
