Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred, ASN allowed with 2 years to complete BSN.
• Valid Florida RN license with ACLS and BLS certification.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and document nursing care; modify plans as needed.
• Review and report diagnostic tests to assess condition.
• Consult with physicians to plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures; provide cultural considerations.
• Administer medications and maintain accurate medication records.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families and team per HIPAA guidelines.
• Assist with discharge planning using available resources.
• Prioritize and adjust assignments to deliver superior care.
• Adapt to changing demands and safely operate medical equipment.
• Serve as a preceptor to new staff and provide feedback.
• Adhere to University policies and safeguard assets.
