Job summary

Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join the Surgical Oncology team. This inpatient position splits duties between inpatient units and the operating room, with no call, nights, or weekend responsibilities.

The role offers an academic appointment at the Geisel School of Medicine and opportunities to engage in research, with a collaborative team of 8 surgeons, 2 APPs, and 3 residents.

Qualifications

• National specialty certification as FNP, Acute or Primary Care A-GNP, or NCCPA certification.
• Successful completion of an approved PA/APRN program.
• Eligible for APRN or PA licensure in the State of NH.
• Eligible for Federal DEA Registration.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for inpatient service including rounding, acute clinical interventions, discharge planning and management of details of patient care.
• Work with multidisciplinary care team during hospital admission with coordination of care upon discharge.
• First assist as needed in the operating room with focus on robotic surgeries.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, APP colleagues, residents and medical students.
• Assume teaching responsibilities for medical students and residents in accordance with appointment as Instructor in Surgery.
