Job summary

The Iowa Clinic, P.C. seeks a BC-BE Surgical Oncologist to join a large Midwest multi-specialty practice in Des Moines, IA.

The role supports a 2-surgeon model with referrals shared evenly and a broad case mix including hepatobiliary, pancreas, upper GI, melanoma, sarcoma, endocrine surgery, and robotic procedures. Teaching opportunities with residents and medical students are available, with OR block time of 3 days per week and a 1:7 general surgery call.

Qualifications

• Surgical Oncologist with >4 years experience preferred.
• Experience in complex cancer resections including hepatobiliary, pancreas and GI cancers is advantageous.
• Teaching residents and medical students is part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in a 2-surgeon model with even referral distribution.
• Perform complex cancer surgeries including hepatobiliary, pancreas, upper GI, melanoma, sarcoma, endocrine procedures, and robotic resections.
• Participate in tumor boards and cancer care programs.
