Job summary

INTEGRIS Health is seeking a Surgical Oncologist to provide compassionate, patient-centered care for cancer patients across its Oklahoma hospitals and clinics. You will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, perform oncologic surgeries and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams.

You will explain options to patients and families, monitor recovery and maintain accurate medical records. The role requires an MD or DO, completion of general surgery residency and surgical oncology

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited general surgery residency.
• Completion of a surgical oncology fellowship.
• Eligible for Oklahoma medical licensure.
• Board certification or eligibility in general surgery; surgical oncology certification or eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients with cancer and assess their suitability for surgical treatment.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and multidisciplinary care teams.
• Perform oncologic surgeries and provide perioperative care.
• Explain diagnoses, procedures, risks and treatment options to patients and families.
• Coordinate care with medical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology and other clinical services.
• Monitor recovery, manage complications and follow patients after surgery.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and follow applicable safety and quality standards.
