Job summary

Piedmont Medical Care Corporation in Macon, GA is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for Surgical OR/Spec OP. You will work with physicians to deliver comprehensive care for surgical patients in hospital and office settings.

The role requires a GA APN license or a GA PA license, NCCPA certification, and BCLS. Experience in breast or colorectal cancer in a surgical office is preferred, with responsibilities spanning exams, diagnostics, and coordination of labs and consultations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing with GA APN license and a Master’s degree in Nursing.
• Master’s degree graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with a Georgia license.
• NCCPA update for PAs required upon hire.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required upon hire.
• Experience in a surgical office with breast cancer and/or colorectal cancer is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat patients.
• Coordinate laboratory studies and professional consultations for surgical patients.
• Deliver high-quality patient care and participate in research, teaching and consultations.
• Play a leadership role within the surgical service line and assist with pre- and post-operative evaluations.
