Job summary

Northwest Hospital in Randallstown, MD seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Surgical Team. You will work under supervision of an attending surgeon to support patient care across hospital floors, the Emergency Department, and other clinical areas.

Responsibilities include obtaining comprehensive patient histories, performing physical examinations, ordering medications and tests, and assisting in surgical procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited NP or PA program.
• Active Maryland NP or PA license in good standing.
• Mandatory ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Certification as NP or PA per role requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support patient care across hospital floors, ED and clinical areas.
• Obtain histories, perform exams, and order tests as needed.
• Assist in surgical procedures and manage pre/post-operative care.
• Coordinate care with surgeons, physicians, nurses and staff.

Education

Master's degree

Maryland NP or PA License (active)

NCCPA certification

National NP Board Certification

ACLS and BLS certification

Maryland CDS License
