Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center, located in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Surgical/Neuro Stepdown unit. The position is full-time and dayshift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00am to 7:30pm.

A sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates, with eligibility and payout details discussed during interviews. The RN will provide direct patient care, utilize the nursing process, and educate patients and families while collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure safety and quality

Qualifications

• Current and valid State RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Direct patient education and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the DOU.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s condition including hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic results and symptoms.
