Job summary

A leading medical equipment management company is seeking a Surgical Laser Technician in Newport News, Virginia. You will be responsible for testing and sterilizing equipment, assisting in surgeries, and maintaining operational excellence. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, medical or military experience, and the ability to lift heavy equipment. A comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• Prior medical, EMT, Surgical Technologist, or military experience preferred.
• Must hold a current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license.
• Must be able to lift up to eighty pounds and push or pull up to one hundred pounds.
• Must be able to stand and/or sit for long periods of time.
• Be able to frequently bend, stoop, twist, and climb.

Responsibilities

• Test, clean, and sterilize equipment in operating room prior to procedures.
• Present in operating room during procedures as needed.
• Remove, clean, disinfect, and sterilize all surgical equipment post-procedure.
• Ensure operational excellence of vehicles and equipment.
• Transport equipment to necessary locations for procedures.

Responsibilities

• Tests, cleans, and sterilizes equipment in operating room prior to procedures.
• Present in operating room during procedures; level of involvement depends on physician demands.
• Removes, cleans, disinfects, and sterilizes all surgical equipment after procedures.
• Ensures operational excellence of all vehicles and equipment by communicating defects or necessary maintenance to key stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Transports equipment to ensure it is in the right place at the right time for necessary procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior medical, EMT, Surgical Technologist, or military experience preferred.
• Must hold a current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license and have a safe driving record based on Agiliti policies.
• Must be able to lift up to eighty pounds and push or pull up to one hundred pounds.
• Must be able to stand and/or sit for long periods of time as well as being able to bend and reach repeatedly.
• Be able to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for long periods of time.
