Job summary

Agiliti is seeking a Laser Technician I to join our Hartford-area operations. You will test, clean, and sterilize equipment used in operating rooms and support the surgical team during procedures as requested by physicians.

You will also transport and track equipment, ensuring timely delivery for all procedures. Candidates should have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 80 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior medical, EMT, Surgical Technologist, or military experience preferred.
• Must hold a current, valid, and unrestricted driver’s license.
• Must have a safe driving record.
• Able to lift up to eighty pounds and push or pull up to one hundred pounds.
• Able to stand or sit for long periods and bend/reach repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Tests, cleans, and sterilizes equipment in operating room prior to procedures.
• Present in operating room during procedures; level of involvement varies with physician requests.
• Removes, cleans, disinfects, and sterilizes all surgical equipment after procedures.
• Communicates defects or maintenance needs to ensure operational excellence of vehicles and equipment.
• Transports equipment to ensure availability for procedures.

What You Will Do in This Role

• Tests, cleans, and sterilizes equipment in operating room prior to procedures.
• Present in operating room during procedures; level of involvement in procedure is subject to physician demands.
• Removes, cleans, disinfects, and sterilizes all surgical equipment after procedures.
• Ensures operational excellence of all vehicles and equipment by communicating defects or necessary maintenance to key stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Transports equipment to ensure that it is in the right place at the right time for necessary procedures.

What You Will Need for This Role

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior medical, EMT, Surgical Technologist, or military experience preferred.
• Must hold a current, valid, and unrestricted driver’s license.
• Must have a safe driving record based on Agiliti policies.
• Must be able to lift up to eighty pounds and push or pull up to one hundred pounds.
• Must be able to stand and/or sit for long periods of time as well as being able to bend and reach repeatedly.
• Be able to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for long periods of time.
