Job summary

Prisma Health in Greenville Memorial Hospital seeks a seasoned Sterile Processing Technician to coordinate instrument repair, inventory and ordering within the Central Sterile department. You will support OR staff, track missing instruments, and ensure sets are complete and ready for daily operations.

Responsibilities include managing repairs on site and off site, maintaining instrument listings, and assisting with processing and decontamination procedures to meet department standards.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Central Sterile Processing Education Program with certificate.
• 5 years of experience in operating room or central processing as technician.
• Knowledge of sterilization procedures and instrument handling.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate instrument repairs on site and off site.
• Order inventory for commonly used instruments and maintain instrument listings.
• Maintain instrument inventory and set listings; ensure barcode labels.
• Assist OR Supervisors with ordering specialized instrumentation.
• Track missing instrumentation and reorder replacements when needed.
• Work with perioperative team to ensure instrument sets are complete.
• Support decontamination, assembly and packaging procedures.
