Job summary

UCHealth Medical Group and the UCHealth Surgical ICU team in Colorado Springs, CO are seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, interested in working full‑time, and focused on excellent patient care.

You will work closely with the Trauma/Acute Care Surgery team and other surgical subspecialties, participating in multi‑disciplinary inpatient rounding on the unit.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
• Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in Colorado.
• PA-C certification (NCCPA) required for hire and maintained.
• Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe.
• Eligible to provide reimbursable services and maintain provider status with Medicare/Medicaid.
• Eligible to provide services with no sanctions/exclusions (HHS/OIG or GSA).
• Unrestricted medical staff membership with privileges.
• Prescriptive authority as per privileging.
• BLS certification by AHA or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Surgical ICU team and Trauma/Acute Care Surgery.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary inpatient rounding on the unit.
• Collaborate with surgical sub-specialties to deliver patient care.
• Epic EMR utilized system-wide.
• Support a good work‑life balance.
• No call required; full-day, weekend, and holiday shifts.
