Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist First Assist to join the operating room team at the 32nd Avenue Building in Fargo, North Dakota. This CSFA works 6:30 am to 5:00 pm, four days per week with call rotations on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

A $15,000 sign-on bonus plus relocation assistance are available. Graduate from ARCST-accredited surgical assisting or an accredited surgical technology program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a surgical assisting program accredited through ARCST or graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology.
• Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) certification preferred upon hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to the surgeon to ensure quality patient care during operative procedures.
• Assist the surgeon with exposure, hemostasis, suturing, dressing, and other delegated duties.
• May also work as a Surgical Technologist as needed.
