AQUA Dermatology in Dothan, AL is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant to support our Surgical Dermatology Group. You will prepare examination rooms, collect patient information, assist physicians with procedures, and ensure smooth patient flow throughout the day.

Qualifications

• GED/High School Diploma
• Previous hands-on experience (preferably in a medical environment)
• Thrive in high-level engagement with patients

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms, ensuring they are clean before each appointment and stocked with necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies
• Focus on the patient experience
• Gather patient information, informed consent, and payment information
• Assist the physician with minor procedures, patient charting, uploading imaging, and patient follow-up appointment scheduling
• Provide detailed post-care instructions to the patient and/or family members
• Complete logs and send specimens to the laboratory
• Travel to other locations throughout the week
• Perform other tasks and duties as directed

Responsibilities:

• Prepare examination rooms, ensuring they are clean before each appointment and stocked with necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies.
• Focus on the patient experience.
• You will be responsible for gathering patient information, informed consent, and payment information
• Assist the physician with minor procedures, patient charting, uploading imaging, and patient follow-up appointment scheduling
• Provide detailed post-care instructions to the patient and/or family members
• Accurately complete pathology and laboratory requisitions as required
• Complete logs and send specimens to the laboratory
• You may be required to travel to other locations throughout the week
• You will perform other tasks and duties as directed
