Job summary

Riverside Dental is seeking a Surgical Dental Assistant to support hands-on patient care in a high-quality, patient-centered environment. You will prepare operatories, assist during procedures, monitor sedation as needed, take X-rays, and manage patient records and follow-up instructions.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting program, at least two years of surgical assisting experience, and prosthodontics exposure including implants.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Dental Assisting program.
• Two years surgical assisting experience.
• Prosthodontics experience including bone grafting and implants.
• Familiar with autoclave, statim, panoramic/CBCT, laser, intraoral camera.
• CPR, BLS, and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operatories for set-up, decontamination, sterilization, cleaning and restocking; maintain lab and procedural areas.
• Escort patients, communicate with them, and prep them for care by doctor; review treatment plans with patients.
• Monitor oxygen and IV sedation as needed; take blood pressure.
• Take X-Rays, impressions, pours and prepares study models; coordinate lab cases.
• Record treatment information on patient charts, schedule appointments, provide follow-up and post-op directions.
