Qualifications

• Experience as Surgical Assistant required
• Valid state certifications required
• Strong manual dexterity with surgical instruments
• Patient safety focus and care
• Excellent communication and compassionate patient care

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance to oral surgeons and prosthodontists during surgical and implant procedures
• Anticipate clinician needs and maintain a clear, organized treatment area
• Assist with administration and documentation of local anesthesia, nitrous sedation, and IV sedation procedures
• Ensure patient comfort, monitor well-being, and educate on pre- and post-operative care
• Prepare, sterilize, and set up instruments and surgical trays following infection control protocols
• Take dental x-rays and prepare materials for impressions
• Assist with medical clearances and patient record management
• Support office operations by scheduling, greeting patients, and managing supplies
• Collaborate with surgical and prosthetic teams to ensure seamless patient care
