Periodontal Health Center, a modern periodontal practice, seeks a Surgical Dental Assistant to support chairside care for advanced periodontal and implant surgeries. The role emphasizes sterile technique, patient comfort, and precise clinical work.

You will manage instruments, radiographs, and documentation while upholding OSHA standards in a fast-paced surgical setting. Our team values professionalism, efficiency, and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years dental assisting experience.
• Surgical assisting experience strongly preferred (periodontics, implants, oral surgery).
• Radiology certification required.
• Strong understanding of sterile technique and surgical protocols.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical setting.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Professional, calm, and patient-focused demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Chairside assisting for advanced periodontal and implant surgeries.
• Set up and maintain sterile surgical fields.
• Anticipate provider needs during procedures.
• Manage surgical instruments, sutures, implants, and grafting materials.
• Monitor patient comfort and assist with anxiety management.
• Take high-quality digital radiographs and intraoral images.
• Deliver clear pre- and post-operative instructions.
• Accurate clinical documentation and charting.
• Maintain OSHA/CDC infection control standards.
• Support smooth operatory flow and on-time surgical schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Chairside assisting for advanced periodontal and implant surgeries
• Set up and maintain sterile surgical fields

Compensation: $24.00 per hour
