Job summary

Everleap Fertility seeks a dedicated Surgical Center Technician for our Wayne, PA location. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 6:30am–3:00pm. You will manage instruments, supplies, and equipment, ensuring sterile technique and anticipating surgeon needs for gynecologic and urology procedures.

The position requires CST credential, BLS, and at least two years of instrument tech experience, with preference for women's health exposure. Training and mentorship are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a certified surgical technologist program with CST credential.
• Minimum two years’ experience as a surgical instrument technician prior to 2015 with documentation.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Experience in women's health or reproductive endocrinology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment during procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control practices.
• Assemble supplies and equipment for procedures.
• Prepare sterile instrument table and equipment.
• Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, sponges, and sutures.
• Transport patients to and from the surgical suite.
• Mentor new staff and ensure adherence to safety protocols.

Everleap Fertility, has a need for a Surgical Center Technician for our Wayne, PA location. This is full-time role working Monday-Friday from 6:30am-3pm.

Job Purpose:

The Surgical Center Technician handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. This individual has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities:

• Knowledge of surgical scrub processes and instrumentation for gyn, and urology procedures.
• Follows proper sterility, infection control, and safety precautions in the performance of all duties.
• Assembles supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures.
• Prepares sterile instrument table.
• Maintains aseptic techniques and actively monitors situations which could lead to breaches in aseptic technique.
• Transports patients to and from surgical suite.
• Assists the surgical team in surgical procedures which includes passing instruments, sponges, and sutures.
• Gathers equipment for cleaning and sterilization.
• Orients and mentors new staff members.
• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Academic Training:

• High school diploma or GED
• Studies level: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Graduate of a nationally accredited educational program for surgical technologists and hold a certified surgical technologist credential - OR –
• Has a minimum two years’ experience as a surgical instrument technician prior to January 1, 2015 and required written employment documentation.
• Current BLS Certification – required
• Studies level: Certification
• Studies area: BLS

Position Requirements/Experience:

• Previous experience in women's health or reproductive endocrinology and infertility - preferred
• 2+ years of experience as a surgical technician - preferred

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in surgical instrument knowledge and surgical skill.
• Proficient in computer programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
