Job summary

The Surgical Support Attendant works under the direction of the RN/Licensed Practical Nurse. Responsibilities include providing direct patient care, transporting patients, and maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the unit.

The Attendant demonstrates the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds, to set and manage multiple priorities, and to adapt to a rapidly changing environment. Qualifications include a High School Diploma/GED, preferred prior patient care experience,

• Education: High School Diploma/GED required.
• Experience: Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Additional Skills/Abilities: English communication with diverse backgrounds; ability to work under stress; adapt to a rapidly changing environment; BLS required before orientation.
