Job summary

Mountain State Oral & Facial Surgery is seeking a skilled Surgical Assistant to join our multi-state network. You will support surgeons during procedures, maintain patient records, monitor vital signs, and ensure patient safety with meticulous clinical care.

Ideal candidates have DAANCE/N2O/CPR certifications, experience in oral/dental surgery, and strong attention to detail. This on-site role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth within a multi-state practice.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Surgical Assistant or relevant training in surgical assisting preferred.
• Experience in oral/dental surgery settings preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with patients and staff.
• Knowledge of surgical instruments, sterilization, and OR protocols.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Perform diagnostic imaging as needed (X-rays).
• Review and document patient medical histories.
• Ensure consent forms are completed and signed.
• Prepare and process patient prescriptions accurately.
• Monitor and record vital signs (BP, EKG, pulse oximetry).
• Document anesthesia records and patient charting.
• Maintain patient airways during sedation and suction as needed.
• Provide post-operative monitoring and accompany patients to caregiver release.
• Prepare and sanitize surgical and examination rooms.
• Assist with ongoing surgical procedures as needed.
• Uphold HIPAA confidentiality.
• Support clinic operations and patient flow.
