Job summary

Nu Image is seeking a Surgical Assistant to join our oral and maxillofacial surgery team. This role focuses on assisting during consultations, treatments, and surgeries, with responsibilities ranging from instrument sterilization to postoperative instruction and charting.

Certification in CPR/BLS and dental X-ray is required, IV certification preferred, and bilingual Spanish/English skills are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of chairside assisting experience.
• Current CPR/BLS Certification (required).
• X-ray Certification (required).
• IV Certification (preferred).
• Bilingual, Spanish/English (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist with consultations, treatments, and surgical preparations.
• Take diagnostic x-rays and ensure proper instrument sterilization.
• Prepare and maintain surgical operatories.
• Monitor vital signs and provide chairside assistance during procedures.
• Accurately chart and document procedures and patient interactions.
• Coordinate with referring providers to ensure surgical safety.
• Provide clear post-operative instructions and follow-up care.
• Maintain CPR/BLS certification and emergency preparedness.
• Manage surgical supplies and maintain inventory.
