Job summary

Georgetown Oral & Facial Surgery is seeking a skilled Surgical Assistant to join our team. You will support our oral surgeons during procedures, prepare rooms, and help maintain a safe, welcoming clinical environment with excellent patient care.

The ideal candidate has 1+ years of oral surgery or dental assisting and customer service experience, strong communication, and proficiency with computers. High school diploma or equivalent required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Oral Surgery/Dental Assisting experience preferred.
• 1+ years of customer service experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Oral Surgeon during a variety of oral and maxillofacial procedures to ensure efficiency.
• Prepare treatment rooms according to established protocols and safety standards.
• Maintain strict infection control standards by sterilizing instruments and preparing equipment.
• Capture high quality, diagnostic dental x-rays and scans as needed.
• Provide patients with clear post-operative instructions and oral care guidance.
• Accurately document patient information and chart notes.
• Perform administrative office tasks using a computer and dental software.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
