Job summary

OSF HealthCare is hiring a Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA). This role provides safe basic care, takes vital signs, assists with daily living activities and specimen collection, and communicates with the care team to ensure continuity of care.

The PCT/CNA will record information in patient charts and may supervise patients as needed, aligning with department expectations. Licenses: CNA and CPR/BLS are required. This is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Six months experience in a clinical healthcare environment.
• Six months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients.

Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant provides safe basic care, takes vital signs, assists with activities of daily living, and collects specimens.
• Records information in patient charts and communicates with the Patient Care Team to ensure continuity of care; may supervise patients as needed.

Skills

Six months experience in clinical care

Six months experience in supporting PT

Education

CNA certification
