Ocala Health ENT, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to coordinate surgical procedures and ensure proper documentation and authorizations prior to surgery. You will work with physicians, facility staff, and patients to streamline scheduling and optimize anesthesia coordination.

The role emphasizes accuracy in coding, credentialing verification, and adherence to HIPAA and Conduct policies, with a full-time Monday–Friday schedule, no on-call, and no travel.

Qualifikationen

• High school degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office setting preferred.
• BLS may be required as per practice standard.
• No travel required.
• No experience required years of experience.

Aufgaben

• Obtains CPT and ICD-10 codes and other clinical information from practice staff; seeks assistance from practice and facility coders as determined through practice and family processes.
• Determines OR time needed for the procedure and works with Facility to ensure procedure is scheduled; daily schedule is streamlined and arranges necessary anesthesia coverage, as determined through facility processes.
• Verifies/confirms physician is credentialed at the Center of Facility before scheduling the patient.
• Ensures efficient coordination of provider clinic and facility schedule including awareness of provider schedule and coordination of provider time-out, travel, meetings, conferences, and continuing medical education.
• Supports and adheres to HCA Code of Conduct, related Ethics and Compliance policies, and HIPAA requirements.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Surgery Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling surgical procedures, ensuring all required documentation, authorizations, equipment, and clinical information are obtained and confirmed prior to surgery. This position works closely with physicians, facility staff, and patients to ensure a seamless surgical scheduling process

What you will do in this role:

• Obtains CPT and ICD-10 Diagnosis codes and other clinical information asrequiredfor treatment of the patient from practice staff; seeksassistancefrom practice and facility coders asdeterminedthrough practice and family processes
• DeterminesO.R. time needed for the procedure and works with Facility to ensure procedure isscheduled;daily schedule is streamlined and arranges necessary anesthesia coverage, asdeterminedthrough facility processed. Ensures all requirements for the procedure have been obtained and confirmed with the facility or other parties to include medical/imaging records and needed equipment/instruments.
• Verifies/confirms physician is credentialed at the Center of Facility before scheduling the patient.
• Ensures efficient coordination of provider clinic and facility schedule which could include awareness ofproviderschedule and coordination of provider time-out, travel, meetings, conferences, and continuing medical education.
• Supports and adheres to HCA Code of Conduct, related Ethics and Compliance policies, and HIPAA requirements

What Qualifications you will need:

• High school degree preferred
• Minimum (1) year of experience in a medical office setting highly preferred (i.e.ambulatory surgery center, hospital,doctorsoffice) preferred
• BLS may berequiredas per practice standard
