Job summary

Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital in Stevens Point, WI, is seeking a Registered Nurse for Surgery. This position offers full-time or 0.8 FTE with 64 hours every pay period and 8-hour day shifts. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care with a focus on evidence-based practice.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate degree in nursing (Bachelor's preferred), an active Wisconsin license, BLS, and ideally ACLS/PALS/NRP depending on department. Certification in specialty is desirable.

Qualifications

Associate degree in nursing is required.
Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
Certification in specialty is desirable.
Minimum of three years practicing as an RN in a similar setting is ideal.
Active Wisconsin and/or Michigan RN license required.
Specialty certification maintained as per department scope.
Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
ACLS, PALS, or NRP certifications may be required depending on the primary department.

Responsibilities

Provide assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care incorporating evidence-based practice.
Contribute to quality improvement by collecting and analyzing data.
Deliver nursing care with responsibility and accountability in collaboration with the health care team.
