Job summary

District Medical Group (DMG) in the Phoenix area is actively recruiting a Float Physician Assistant to join our Surgery Department.

The Float PA participates in a team rotation covering urology, plastic & reconstructive, and hand surgery at Valleywise Health Medical Center, provides inpatient consultations and daily rounds, assists with first assist and robot-assisted procedures, and handles weekend in-house calls.

Qualifications

• Inpatient history and physical examinations
• Hospital rounds and daily progress notes documentation
• Coordinate patient orders and results review

Responsibilities

• Perform history and physical examinations of patients in inpatient setting
• Participate in hospital rounds and document daily progress notes
• Enter patient orders as directed
• Review imaging and labs with attending staff and patients
• Assist in staffing minor and operative room procedures
• Coordinate operative schedules for elective and urgent procedures
• Serve as liaison with other services and manage pages/calls under supervision
