Job summary

Jackson HealthPros is seeking a Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist to join a dedicated cardiac team. You will assist physicians and nurses in the OR, preparing the room, sterilizing instruments, and supporting the surgical team throughout procedures.

The role requires NBSTSA CVOR certification, BLS, and experience in a cardiac environment, with cross-training into other OR areas and willingness to float as a sitter when needed. Located in Bismarck, ND, with full travel-friendly benefits.

Qualifications

• Current NBSTSA-certified CVOR surgical technologist.
• BLS certification.
• 2 years’ experience as a CVOR technologist in a cardiac surgical environment.
• Must be able to scrub.
• Experience with open hearts, CABG, and valves.
• Must be willing to cross-train into general OR and other OR specialties if CV volumes are low.
• Must be willing to float as a 1:1 sitter if case volume is low.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures.
• Prepare the operating room and equipment for procedures.
• Sterilize equipment and maintain a sterile field.
• Provide support to the surgical team during operations.

Job description

Join our team at Jackson HealthPros as a Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist where you’ll function as a member of a cardiac team, expertly assisting physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures. You’ll ensure the safety and well-being of patients by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and providing support to the surgical team.

Minimum Requirements

• Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)BLS Certification2 years‘ experience
• as a certified CVOR technologist in a cardiac surgical environmentND UAPMust be able to first scrubExperience with open hearts, CABG, and valves

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 0645-1515
• Shift days: Monday-Friday
• Start at 6a for open heart case prep when notified the day before
• Weeknight call: 3-4 times per week, 1515-0645
• Weekend call: every other to every third weekend, Friday 1515 to Monday 0645
• Rotating holidays required
• Call response time: 15 minutes
• Must be willing to cross train into general OR and other OR specialties if CV volumes are low
• Must be willing to float as a 1:1 sitter if case volume is low
