Kimley-Horn’s Melbourne, FL office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join the Surface Water team. This is not a remote position and offers collaboration with a multi-disciplinary group on roadway and water resources projects.

You will prepare hydraulic/hydrology studies, drainage designs, and technical documents while working closely with clients and jurisdictions. The role emphasizes teamwork, client relations, and opportunities to lead projects.

Qualifications

• PE licensure or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• 4+ years of engineering design experience in civil projects.
• Experience with state DOT drainage and roadway hydraulics.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support roadway and water resources projects with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Develop hydraulics/hydrology studies and drainage design documents.
• Prepare technical memos, feasibility studies, and submittals.
• Assist with scopes of work and project budgets.
• Collaborate with jurisdictions and contractors on projects.
