Job summary

Buffalo Rock Company is seeking a Surface Sanitation Technician to join the COR Quality Control team. You will be responsible for the sanitation of all plant machinery and ensuring clean, compliant production.

This is a regular, full-time, non-exempt role with a schedule Monday–Friday and the need to flex hours to cover nights, weekends and holidays as required.

Training includes GMP compliance, equipment cleaning procedures and safety practices to support overall Food Safety and product quality.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience: None required.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Sanitizes all plant machinery and maintains equipment cleanliness.
• Wraps sensors, lights, and motors prior to cleaning operations.

Summary/objective

Job Description

The Surface Sanitation Technician position is a key member of the Quality Control Team responsible for the sanitation of all machinery in the plant.

Essential Functions

• Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position. Position is required to work all hours necessary to ensure operations function is fulfilled, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Sanitizes all machinery in the plant.
• Wrap all sensors, lights, and motors before cleaning different pieces of equipment.
• Required to clean up around equipment that has been sanitized.
• Required to clean out lift-station using a ladder once a week.
• Cleans machinery from start of line, depalletizer down to palletizer.
• Climbs machinery such as palletizers, depalletizers, and catwalks.
• Food Safety: Required to follow the Good Manufacturing Program (GMP) as listed in Code of Federal Regulations CFE 21 section 110. Requires participation in various Food Safety related training that Buffalo Rock utilizes. Required to report potential issues related to Food Safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
