Direct Start is seeking a detail-oriented Paint Helper to support our painting operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will prepare surfaces and execute quality finishes while upholding safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities include surface prep, primer and paint application, touch-ups, and proper mix of paints and solvents. The role requires teamwork and adherence to safety protocols in a production setting.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift materials (up to 50 lbs).
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, and applying protective coverings to ensure clean, smooth finishes.
• Apply primers and paints using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment according to specifications.
• Perform touch-ups and quality inspections to maintain consistent finish quality.
• Mix paints and solvents to specified colors and viscosity.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper disposal of materials.
• Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and chemical handling procedures.
• Work collaboratively with painting team members to meet production schedules.
