Walker Lovell Ltd is seeking a Mining Engineer to join our surface mining team in Alabama. You will shape mine plans and work with site leaders to translate production goals into safe, practical field actions.

The role offers ownership with clear progression into senior technical or operational leadership, plus relocation assistance where applicable. A 2-4 year background in surface mining and a Mining Engineering or Geology degree will help you succeed.

• Experience in mine planning with exposure to drill and blast activities.

Responsibilities

• Shape short and long-term mine plans that convert production goals into practical field plans.
• Design and refine drill and blast patterns to improve operational performance.
• Assess pit conditions, slope stability and geotechnical performance for safe, informed decisions.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to implement on-site improvements.
