About the Role

The Surface Maintenance Mechanic plays a critical role in ensuring the operational integrity and safety of surface equipment and infrastructure within industrial or mining environments. This position involves performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on mechanical systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan. The mechanic will collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions. A strong focus on safety protocols and compliance with regulatory standards is essential to protect personnel and assets. Ultimately, the role contributes to maintaining efficient production processes by ensuring all surface machinery operates reliably and safely.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a mechanic or maintenance technician in an industrial or mining setting.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
