Job summary

Warrior Met Coal is seeking a Surface Machinist near Brookwood, Alabama, to operate and maintain precision machinery for metal parts. You will work with supervisors and teammates to ensure a safe work environment, uphold the Warrior Way, and meet quality standards.

The role requires reading blueprints, using calipers and micrometers, and passing hydraulic and welding tests. Candidates must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and work extended shifts in a mining setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Alabama Hoist Operator certification is required.
• Must pass hydraulic and welding abilities test administered by WMC training center.
• Must be able to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Must maintain punctuality and attendance.
• Ability to work safely in a mining environment and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, CNC machines, torches and welders.
• Work in confined spaces and at heights (potentially >100 ft) with harness.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and follow safety procedures.
• Use hand tools and machinery as required.
• Adhere to company policies and standards; perform other duties as assigned.
