Job summary

Infinity Natural Resources is seeking a Surface Landman to secure surface rights, leases, and permits for Ohio-based projects and coordinate with landowners and stakeholders. The role requires strong negotiation, due diligence, and documentation skills in a fast-paced field setting.

You will work with legal, engineering, environmental, and operations teams to ensure compliant land transactions and timely project progress, with travel across Ohio and occasional trips to Morgantown as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in land management, business or related field, preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in land management, ideally oil & gas.
• Professional certification such as RPL or CPL preferred.
• Proficiency with GIS and land mapping software.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and land acquisition processes.

Responsibilities

• Secure surface rights for exploration, drilling, completions, and production activities.
• Negotiate and draft surface use agreements, easements, and rights-of-way.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
• Maintain relationships with landowners, agencies, communities, and stakeholders.
• Act as liaison to address concerns and resolve disputes promptly.
• Ensure all land transactions comply with laws and regulations.
• Maintain records of land acquisitions, contracts, and agreements.
• Prepare and present reports on land acquisition activities and compliance.
• Collaborate with legal, engineering, environmental, and operations teams.
• Provide land-related insights for project planning and development.
• Conduct title due diligence and address title issues.
• Perform land and environmental impact assessments for planning.
• Assist budgeting and forecasting for land acquisition costs.
• Monitor land-related expenditures for cost efficiency.
