Job summary

Halliburton is seeking a Senior Surface Facilities Assurance Advisor to establish and assure surface facilities standards across IAM projects in support of global energy initiatives. You will govern design, construction, and operations readiness, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance across the asset lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related STEM discipline.
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in oil & gas surface facilities (including design, construction, and operations).
  • At least 10 years of experience within an E&P operator environment.
  • Strong expertise in surface facilities engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations.
  • Experience with multiple contracting strategies, including lump-sum EPC, unit rate, and time & materials.
  • Strong understanding of industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience supporting integrated asset lifecycle projects, from development through execution.
  • Proven experience in assurance, audits, and governance frameworks.
  • Experience working in international or multi-regional environments is preferred.
  • Ability to influence and manage processes across stakeholders without direct supervisory responsibility.
  • Proficiency in Spanish or Arabic is preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% annually.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain surface facilities standards, processes, and governance frameworks to ensure consistency across IAM projects.
  • Ensure surface facility design, construction, and execution activities meet safety, quality, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
  • Lead assurance reviews, design validations, and compliance assessments, providing guidance on risks, deviations, and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Provide surface facilities subject matter expertise to support bids, proposals, and tender evaluations, including input on execution strategies, contractor capabilities, and risk management.
  • Support project execution by participating in design reviews, contractor evaluations, and assurance activities across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Contribute to the development of execution plans, resourcing strategies, and risk registers for surface facility scopes.
  • Deliver training and guidance to ensure teams understand and consistently apply surface facility standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive alignment, improve technical execution, and support successful project delivery.

About the Role

Under broad direction from the Global Asset Management Lead, the Surface Facilities Assurance Advisor is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and assuring processes, standards, and technical execution for surface facilities across Integrated Asset Management (IAM) projects.
