You will maintain relationships with brokers and agents, stay current on industry trends, and guide junior underwriters. This role requires 10–20% travel and a focus on accurate, detail-oriented decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in surety underwriting or similar field.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data.
• Travel 10–20% required.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate surety bond applications to determine risk and terms.
• Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and related documents.
• Collaborate with brokers, agents, and clients for information.
• Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and industry professionals.
• Provide guidance to junior underwriters or team members.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and practices.
• Coordinate with Automation Team to implement bond types/risks.
• Monitor obligee requirements and statutory changes.
• Handle other projects and tasks as assigned.
