Supervises staff and operations of nursing care for assigned areas or units. Schedules and ensures appropriate staffing. Ensure supplies and equipment are available. Works with Ambulatory Operation Director and clinical directors to resolve issues pertaining to the assigned area. Educates and consults patients and families regarding their concerns. Performs job duties in accordance with UMMC's purpose.
Must be licensed as RN for three (3) years. BSN preferred.
Valid RN License, BLS
Knowledge of nursing procedures. Verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, physicians, and registered nurses. Knowledge and understanding of computer systems, tools, and programs. Supervisory skills. Possesses current competencies in nursing clinical practice.
