Job summary

Univar Solutions is seeking an Operations Supervisor for our Geneva, NY facility. This role oversees day-to-day operations, supervises staff, manages the budget, and drives branch operations in a large facility.

You will enforce health, safety, and environmental policies, lead the branch emergency response, conduct safety audits, and run daily pre-shift meetings to set expectations. A HS diploma is required; 3–5 years in operations with SAP experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of shown experience in operations.
• Knowledge of chemical distribution facility operation.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications; Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating compliance to corporate health, safety, and environmental policies, including completion of all required training, documentation and record keeping.
• Supporting sales efforts consistent with corporate and regulatory compliance, health, safety and environmental standards.
• Leading the branch's emergency response team in the branch.
• Supporting branch health and safety program and conducts safety audits in conjunction with Branch Operations Manager.
• Conducting daily pre-shift meetings and communicates expectations to employees.
• Cultivating employee ownership of branch operations and performance as well as creating a positive work environment.
• Participating in inspections from outside agencies (DOT, EPA, FDA, DHS).
• Direct supervision for Material Handlers.
