Job summary

Richard S. Adler Early Childhood Learning Center in Maitland, FL is seeking Creative, Interactive and Loving individuals to join our team. You will work with children from 8 weeks to Pre-K in a warm, supportive classroom family.

Support teachers assist Lead & Assistant teachers, learn early childhood best practices including the Reggio Emilia Approach. Part-Time 1:00PM-5:30PM or Full-Time 8:30-5:30PM, with benefits, professional development, and a community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in early childhood education or care
• Knowledge of child development and best practices in early childhood
• CPR certification and basic first aid training required/preferred
• Commitment to completing DCF 45 hours in the first year

Support Teacher Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other Lead & Assistant teacher, other ECLC teachers & supervisor
• Support the teachers in classrooms that are dynamic and playful. Classrooms will support creative thinking and involve a variety of materials.
• Feel comfortable Communicating with parents about the children's daily experiences

Qualifications & Requirements

• Preferred but not required some Early Childhood Teaching experience
• Some knowledge of Child Development & Best Practices in Early Childhood Education
• Positive and effective interpersonal communication skills
• Commitment to completion of DCF 45 hours during their first year
• Current CPR certification and basic first aid training
• Part-Time Schedule: 1:00PM-5:30PM
• Full-Time Schedule: 8:30-5:30PM
