Job summary

Meridian Health Services in West Lafayette, IN, seeks a dynamic Support Staff Technician for the Addictions and Recovery Center. This full-time, on-site role supports daily operations, assists patients, and keeps the clinic running smoothly from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities include answering calls, scheduling, collecting co-pays, managing records, and greeting patients. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of administrative experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of office or administrative experience (medical setting preferred).
• Strong computer and data-entry skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities.
• Professionalism, discretion, and a patient-centered mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional communication with patients, staff, and the public.
• Answer calls, schedule and reschedule appointments, and route messages.
• Collect co-pays and process payments.
• Manage medical records, releases of information, and new patient charts.
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail (USPS, UPS, FedEx).
• Check in patients in NextGen.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

2+ years of office or administrative experience (medical setting preferred)

Strong computer and data-entry skills

Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities
