Job summary

The School District Of Osceola County is seeking a PK/ESE classroom paraprofessional to support the teacher in implementing IEPs for exceptional students at Voyager K-8. This full-time position in St.

Cloud requires the ability to move objects and assist students with varying needs as part of a professional support team. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with college credits or a paraprofessional test passing score.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with additional qualification options.
• Associate or higher degree or 60 semester hours from an accredited college or passing Paraprofessional Test.
• 30 hours of CFS Child Development Training preferred.
• CDA credential desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with the requirements of individual education plans (IEPs) for exceptional students.
• Support classroom activities and supervision as directed by the teacher.

Education

Passing score of 458+ on Paraprofessional Test

Job description

The PK/ESE Classroom Assistant is responsible for assisting the teacher in carrying out the requirements of individual education plans of exceptional students. Must be able to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
